Card Patterns 28
Good Morning all! It's another hot day here and I plan on relaxing in the pool and hopefully getting some cards made too. But before I do that, I thought I'd share another Christmas card that I made using Card Patterns sketch 28.
For this card I used the Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly collection. I cut the little house out and covered the one already there by putting it on pop dots. Then added some stardust stickles to the window and some pearl Glimmer mist to the snow. The snowflakes are mini ornaments that I cut the string off of and added a little more bling to the center and inked the edges brown.
That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Cards
I'm doing my first holiday craft fair this Noember and I'm so excited! The only problem is that I have to make a lot of cards in just a few months and I'm such a sloooowww cardmaker. To remedy this little "problem," I have decided to make more than one of a card which I never do. I just can't seem to make things exactly the same so I figure, same line of paper, same sketch, it's the same but different.
That's how these 3 cards, using the fantastic sketch this week from CPS 128, were made. I used Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses and my Cricut Stretch Your Imagination cart for 2 of the trees. The sparkly one is Melissa Frances chipboard inked and covered in glitter.
Hope you like holiday cards because that's almost all you will see when you visit me from now on!
Thanks for stopping by!

Boo!
Were you scared? Come on, I know you were! I truly love Halloween; I love decorating the house and dressing up to give out candy. I don't make very many Halloween cards because I just don't seem to have much a use for them. But they certainly are fun to make! My Paper Therapy group had a crop a few nights ago and the challenge was to make a Halloween card and everyone made such amazing cards! I love this K&Co. paper because it's super glittery but it gets EVERYWHERE! I cleaned my face that night with some toner on a cotton ball and there was tons of glitter stuck to it.
The Boo chipboard is Melissa Frances. I peeled of the shiny white layer, ran it through my cuttlebug using the distressed lines embossing folder but I don't think you can see that anymore. I painted it all with black acrylic paint and when it dried I sanded it so the chipboard was visible. Then I used crackle paint. Then I added some purple and lime green stickles. I certainly did a lot of altering to that plain white chipboard! Finally I put it on pop dots so you just couldn't miss it.
The branches and birds are fussy cut from the paper and are all attached the the boo label. It really was a fun card to make; maybe I'll make some more Halloween cards this year.

It's a Beautiful Day!
Indeed, it is a beautiful day here but I was referring to the title of my card. I used Card Pattern's sketch 26 to make this fun tree card. The tree "leaves" are a hand made flower and a button. I used this fabulous flower making tutorial. I traced a Pink Paislee tree onto cardboard, embossed it with swiss dots, inked it and put it on pop dots. The DP is SU Flamingo something.
Well, that's all for now, I'm off to enjoy the beautiful day!
