Moxie Fab Shabby Chic?

Well, I will say I tried and I think I succeeded in shabby chic-ness! I have been in need of some inspiration to craft and sketches weren't doing it for me lately...I so rarely send my cards or make them for any real reason, that sometimes I need a "theme" more than a sketch. So this week's Moxie Fab challenges are perfect! This card is for the Card Style Shabby Chic and Vintage Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. I found my few vintagy items and this is what I came up with.

I also used Card Pattern's sketch 72, which is actually last week's sketch, since I'm a few hours late.
I hope you are enjoying the summer! Thanks for stopping by!

2 Sketches 4 You #55

I am slowly getting back in the groove of cardmaking and this time I made a super girly card using Laura's sketch #55 at 2 Sketches 4 you. I cut the castle from paper, Recollections Fairy Tale collection, backed it on cardstock and stickled the flags and door and flocked the hearts.
As I'm typing I'm anxiously awaiting my sister's arrival so we can go to the State Fair! I can't wait to go on rides, play games and eat...yay! And the weather is just perfect for it. Hope everyone is having a great weekend too!

I Do Exist!

Hi! I have no idea if anybody has visited my blog lately but if you are here now, yay! I've been unpacking and organizing my life for the past few months since I moved and am finally able to start creating a little again. :)
I was inspired by last week's Tuesday Trigger at MoxieFab blog. I was going to put a small rub on sentiment in each of the blank squares but haven't found anything I like yet so it will likely remain as it has for the past few days.

Big News!

I'm a day late in making this fantastic announcement but better late than never! My amazing friend Kristin started a new Message Board and I am helping out as a moderator and DT member! Please come visit us at Paper Therapy There is so much fun planned and lots of prizes to give~a~way; there is an amazing bunch of goodies that Kristin has put up for grabs in our first big contest! We have sketches, challenges, virtual crop nights, tutorials, tips and how to's, and of course prizes every month.

Our first sketch challenge is a sketch that Vickie chose for us and I had so much fun making my card. Come check out the sketch here and take a look at what the other members have done with it.

This card was made using DCWV Berry St. Farmer's market stack and I love this stuff! There were 2 images of the cutle little mouse so I added dimension to her by layering her bow, the flower and her adorable little nose, with the same image on pop dots. I used diamond glage on the flower, bow, and nose and had to put a little glitter on the flower too!

I hope to see all of you on our new message board!

CPS 154

It was a warmish day with sun and melting snow everywhere....I just know spring is out there somewhere! Or maybe not; there is more snow is the forcast for next week...ack! I did have fun a few days ago when it snowed and made a snowwoman...I played all by myself and love my creation...I think she's adorable wearing my hat and scarf! What do you think of her?

I also made something with paper, this card was inspired by this week's CPS sketch. This paper is Recollections Doodle and there are so many super cute images for me to fussy cut. A lot of times that's why I buy paper; I look at it and just want to cut everything out of it and use it another way. That's where the butterfly and stars came from.

CPS 153 and lotsa snow!

It's a bright, sunny day here today after the blizzard we had yesterday. It was really pretty and since I didn't have to leave the house, it was wonderful. I did open the door to take a few pics that I have to share with you.

I also made a card...despite the blizzard I was inspired to make a bright springy card. I did a tiny shopping the other day and bought DCWV Songbird and I love it! That's where just about everything on this card is from. This collection has so many things for me to cut and layer, and I love that! That is where the flower came from and I added some little pink pearls to each petal. I think I'll be making another card using this collection because there are some adorable little birds that I can cut out...
I used this week's sketch from CPS which is very simple and versatile. I love, love, love this week's DT samples using PaperTrey Ink which I am falling in love with and may have to begin buying... :) Here it is, my rather crooked picture of my card...oops!:

That's all for today! I hope everyone is staying warm and having a great day!

Pagemaps Cards

I've looked at the sketches on Pagemaps.com a million times but haven't used them until recently when my little Paper Therapy group at SB.com was challenged to use a couple of them.
This card was made using a kit I got from in a monthly card kit swap. The paper is BoBunny that I had been wanting so I was so happy to get it!

The next card was made using a sketch from Pagemaps and my pretty girly kit from Treasured Scrapbooking. It's actually filled with pretty BoBunny papers too. The only thing I added is the rub on.

A few days ago I bought "just dance" for Wii and it is so much fun! But I warn you, if you are out of shape, like me, one full song to start with is exhausting!! It is an awesome game though, if you like to dance!

CPS 148

I think I'm fully back into a regular schedule and regular card-making...yay! I finally made a card and used the sketch from CPS and a kit that I got from Treasured Scrapbooking in November I think. It had lots of yummy pink paislee goodies and even though it's a bit late, this card feels more wintery than chrismasy, I think.

I also want to share a picture of me with my new car! I got a fun red corolla and I love it....it's my first new car! And if you look closely, you will notice that it matches my purse perfectly! hahaha!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope to be back soon!
