Let the sun Shine in

Please, please let the sun shine again soon! Today is the first day that it's not raining in about a week and it's cloudy. And it's supposed to rain again. Tonight. Tomorrow. All weekend! Argh! There is a bright side though, there will be lots of flowers soon and I can stay in and craft.
That brings me to this card. It is a round card and I am very challenged when it comes to making round cards. This one was made over the course of 5 days. It is the perfect sentiment for now! It is also the first time I ever used crackle paint. I love this stuff! I painted the chipboard star; inked it and then painted it with a layer of crackle paint and I love the effect!

Another first for me-I just signed up for the Creating Keepsakes convention in Valley Forge, PA the end of July. I've never been to a convention and I've never taken a class. I'm taking 3 classes and I'm so excited! Is anyone else going to this?

Thanks for stopping by!
Michelle :)

How did you make the scallop base for this fantastic card? I love it!! It might have taken you awhile to make but WOW was it worth it! I love the crackle star! It's such a great effect! And I love the chipboard letters you used. They go perfectly with your papers. This card is so great!!

You're SO LUCKY to be going to the CK Convention!! You'll have an amazing time!!!!! ♥♥ Kay
