Caardvarks Christmas Caards

I am super happy that I had time and was able to make some cards last night! The very talented Heidi Van Laar created 3 sketches over at Caardvarks and I used 2 of them to make these Christmas cards.
The first card was made using sketch #1 and The Bugs in a Rug cute paper. The sentiment is by them too. The star is layered and on pop dots and has some yummy glitter on it I think it's Me and my Big Ideas.

My second card was made using sketch #3 and the same papers as the last card. The snowman and tree was cut from it.

I used Dimond Glaze for the first time ever (love it!) on the tree ornaments and the snowman's nose and heart. I used icicle stickles on his hat, then put it on the corner of my desk to dry. I tell you this because I have to share something very funny....

I tend to lose things on my desk all the time because I am not the neatest of people. Two days ago I lost a large chipboard snowflake that took me 2 days to find. I stickled a pretty little present that i cut out and still haven't found it after leaving it to dry. So, when I was ready to use, and went to look for the fairly large tree and snowman that I left to dry and couldn't find it, I really thought I was losing my mind. I searched my desk and floor for like 20 minutes when it hit me. Where is my furry little cat, Duncan? He sometimes has various things stuck to his fur. And when I find him, here is what he looks like:

How funny is that? So, I take it back from him and had to add another layer of Diamond Glaze after I got all his fur off of it.

That's all for today. I am going to see if I can get another card done today since it's yucky out and my BF is working today.

Thanks for stopping by!

It's Been a While!

I haven't posted anything on here in weeks and I don't know when I will again because I am very busy at work. But there are a few cards that I have to share that I have made over the past few weeks.

The first one is a birthday card for my sister; we just have a little "apple" thing so I knew she would love it. I used my Cricut to cut the apple, I distressed and paper pierced the edges of the Cosmo Cricket Early Bird paper, cut the leaves from a sparkly fabric (can't remember who makes it) and embossed a tiny brown stem with my Cuttlebug to give it some texture.

This one was just a fun shaped card using Pink Paislee and some fun chipboard letters. I wanted to make a non-traditional holiday card.

Finally, this card was made using paper from Marcella K and some little trees that I cut out of K&Co. papers and put on pop dots. The "happy" part of the yummy bling is a bit crooked but, I think it took me 3 days to make this one for some reason so crooked it is!

Hopefully, I'll be able to craft again soon.

Thanks for stopping by!
