2 Sketches 4 You Bonus Sketch

I've been busy the past week and haven't been able to get as much crafting does as I usually do. I am in the middle of a trial (representing a man charged with "Official Misconduct" and could go to prison for 5-10 years) and do not have the time to get all the cards I need to have done before Valentine's day. I was able to make 2 cards; one is definitely the Valentine but the other one may be if I don't et enough done in the next week.
This is the iffy Valentine but I like the bright colors (really? I'm sure no one's noticed my love of bright colors) and it can work as one. I used Rae Barthel's bonus sketch at 2sketches4you. Rae's work is always amazing and so is the DT's work and of course the sketches!

This is a gatefold card using Making Memories Sabrina papers. The chipboard is Fancy pants and I added all the littlie rhinesones

Valentine's Day Cards

I have 2 cards to share with you today. I'm kind of tired so I don't have much else to share except these cards.
The first card is a "manly" card. I used BG Granola papers.

The second card used MM Sabrina and Prima "Say it in chrystals and glittery foam hearts.

Thanks for stopping by!

My (messy) Scraproom & some cards

Well, it took me forever to get my darling bf to hang some shelves for me so that I could organize my stuff. In fact, my father said that the theme of our Christmas this year was, "As soon as Ralph hangs my shelves." I'm sure most of you are aware of this phenonmenon, you hubby or bf will have amnesia about the small household chores you ask him to do. Anyway, I have my shelves!! Here are some pics of part of my little space...the part that isn't too scary to show!

I really like the tiny drawers--I got these at Home Depot so they weren't very expensive. I haven't labeled any of the drawers because that would be a lot of work. I also remember where everything is...amazingly, I do have a system...only I can understand it though. I think that's just the way my mind works-anyhoo...
I also used radom jars from the house and cleaned out a few of the candle jars I burn all the time and stored my ribbon in them. They look really pretty lined up on my desk and I can reach them and see them easily.
I really like these drawers that I got (Home Depot, too). These do not have labels either but I know all my Cuttlebug stuff is in the 3d drawer, ink pads in the first, alpha stickers in the bottom left.

Here are 2 cards that I made recently. The first one is for the Card Sketch a Day blogspot . This is sketch 139.

The other card is just a very bright card:

That's all for now, thanks for stopping by! Feel free to say hello!

Cardalicious 9

I've been out of mojo lately and it stinks. :( In order to help myself out of this funk, I went to A.C. Moore yesterday and bought a few cute peices of Valentine paper. And then I actually used it! I usually fall in love with it and then it sits around for months.
The Cardalicious challenge was to make a "for you" card using green and letter stickers. I don't have a lot of green but it definitely qualifies.

Materials: pp- Cloud 9 Sparkle Cirles of Love and Sparkle he loves me not, K&co. Smitten Hearts Glitter paper; Alphas- Scenic Route Fushia, Quincy Alphas

I also wanted to show you this adorable magazine holder that I got from the Target $ spot. I am using 2 of them in my newly organized scrap space (which I'll post when it is truly done unless there is any speclial request to see my space before then...anyone, anyone...LOL) to keep 8 x 11 CS and pp along with scraps. I just thought they were too cute not to buy!

That's all for now...stay warm!

Cuttlebug Challenge #13

This week's challenge on the Cuttlebug blog is to create a simple, white card. Much easier said than done. I had an online crop with my Paper Therapy friends and the first of 3 challenges was to use embossing on a card. 2 birds, 1 stone, woo hoo!

The cake is a stamp but I don't know who makes it. I inked the embossing with a little bit of red and black ink.

Jerusha was kind enough to come up with the challenges for us and the second challenge was to use at least 6 embellies. Here are the 4 little flowers I made:

used one of my stencils from the Dollar Tree and chalked it after I traced it and then stamped "Thank You." I don't really like it but it's definitely different than what I usually do.

That's all for now...thanks for stopping by!

2 Sketches 4 You Kazan's Sketch #17

I'm trying to expand my card making and scrapping world by checking out new sites and meeting new people, getting more inspiration and challenging myself to improve my craft. I'd really like to get one of my cards published but I can't tell if they are good enough for that...so I guess all I can do is submit my work and try!
One site that I have been familiar with and always get inspiraton from is 2Sketches4you. Kazan's sketch was fun to work with.

I used my Treasured Scrapbooking December card kit for this card. The paper is all My Mind's Eye and the sentiment is We R Memory Keepers Glitter Rub on Transfers.
That's all for now. Have a good night and thanks for stopping by; it makes me so happy! :)

Sketch Challenge Cards

So, the holiday season is no longer upon us and as much as I enjoy that time of the year, there are many reasons that I am happy it is over. I will now be able to shop in the middle of the afternoon without too many people around; I don't HAVE to go shopping, I go because I want to....and there are some others that don't revolve around shopping but those just aren't coming to my mind right now.
I've been doing some more blog hopping and found some more fantastic sites for inspiration. One blog that I found is Our Creative Corner and there was a sketch challenge posted that I decided to partake in. Here it is:

I used BG Mellow for the pp; Fancy pants felt for the flower and a random button; the heart is foam with glitter. I really liked this sketch and will be stopping by there more often!

While I had out my awesom BG Mellow papers, I made tis card too:

This is my card for the Caardvarks sketch challenge, it was my first Valentine's card this year:

Almost everything here is K&Company.

Finally, here is a card and a matching bookmark that I made for my father's girlfriend who gave us some nice gifts for Christmas. This is made with a lot of K & Co too. Oh, and this is my first bookmark and they are great to make! They are so little that you can make a ton of them...but then what do you do with a ton of bookmarks???

Thanks for stopping by!
